✖️ Learn First: Multiplying & Dividing Decimalstap to open

Arshad buys 5 pens at ₹9.5 each. How much does he pay? Let's learn the easy trick for multiplying decimals!

🔢Ignore the point first: Multiply the numbers as if there were no decimal points at all.
🧮Count decimal places: Add up how many digits come after the decimal point in BOTH numbers.
📍Place the point: In your answer, count that many digits from the right and put the decimal point there.
Dividing by 10, 100...: Just move the decimal point LEFT by as many zeroes as the divisor has. 123 ÷ 100 = 1.23
🔁It's really fractions: 9.5 = 95/10, so multiplying decimals is the same as multiplying fractions with 10s, 100s as denominators.
Try this9.5 × 5: ignore points → 95 × 5 = 475. One decimal place total → 47.5
